The Sociology and Social Work Branch encompasses a total of 26,100 volumes in three reading rooms (80 seats) with open access to publications (12,273 volumes) and a loan center.

The library also has an important collection of Romanian and foreign specialized periodicals, such as: Romanian Sociology, Quality of Life, Journal of Social Assistance, American Journal of Sociology, British Journal of Sociology, Revue Francaise de Sociologie, Social Psychology Quarterly, Public Opinion Quarterly, Current Anthropology, The Economist.
The library has valuable specialized scientific publications elaborated by the classics of Romanian and foreign sociology – Dimitrie Gusti, Traian Herseni, Henry H. Stahl, Mircea Vulcănescu, Anton Golopenţia, Constantin Rădulescu-Motru, Ion Ungureanu, Emile Durkheim, Max Weber, Vilfredo Paretto, Immanuel Wallerstein etc.
