The two sections of Biology Branch have a total fund of 66,769 volumes, three reading rooms (60 seats) and a loan center. In the reading rooms and the loan center, 14,168 volumes are available in open access. both sections the documents in the collection can be found by querying the general catalog of the Central University Library “Carol I”.

The library’s collections include documents in the field of biological and related sciences: Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Genetics, Ecology, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Animal Physiology, Plant Physiology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Chemistry, etc.

The documentary fund includes, in addition to basic treaties on the subjects taught in class, the works of great foreign naturalists: C. Bernard, Ch. Darwin, JB Lamarck, G. Cuvier, GL Buffon, C. Linné and works by Romanian researchers and professors: E Racoviţă, Gr. Antipa, C. Motaş, II Niţescu, NL Cosmovici, D. Brândză, D. Grecescu, Tr. Săvulescu.
