The Journalism and Communication Sciences Branch has a collection of 19,796 volumes, of which 13,834 are books and 5,962 that are serial publications. These are organized as follows:
– reading room with open access for monographic publications;
– reading room for serial publications;
– loan center.

In the reading room the books are placed according to the basic fields: Mass Media System, Mass Media – Profession, Mass Media – Management, Written Press (Genres, Topics), History of the Press, Audiovisual Press (Radio and Television), Written Press – Techniques Writing, Communication, Political Communication, Communication – Research Methods, Public Relations (General, Press Communication, Crisis Management, Internal Communication, Public Relations Campaigns), Advertising, Anthropology, Communication Anthropology, Popular Culture, Linguistics, Semiotics, Rhetoric and Argumentation, Discourse Analysis, Multimedia, Communication Law and related fields: Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Management, Economics, Ethics, Photography, Film, Philosophy, Foreign Languages, History, supplemented by a consistent fund of reference publications – dictionaries, encyclopedias, guides.

The library has a significant number of foreign publications (books and serial publications in English and French in particular) and Romanian publications from the most prestigious publishing houses in our country: Polirom, European Institute, Comunicare.ro, University of Bucharest Publishing House, Academy Publishing House Romanian. To these is added a very valuable research fund with unique copies in Romania (126 titles) and even in Europe. These serve the programs of the doctoral school of Communication Sciences.
