Today, May 12, 2025, the Central University Library “Carol I” had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Matthew Warren, Director of the Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation at RMIT College of Business and Law, Australia.
The visit is part of a series of international meetings hosted by the Central University Library “Carol I”, which has, over the years, established valuable connections with the academic community in Australia. This meeting further strengthened an already existing cooperation, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to global dialogue and the exchange of expertise in strategically important fields.
During discussions with Associate Professor Mireille Rădoi, PhD, General Director of the Central University Library “Carol I”, several current topics were addressed, with a particular focus on areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, the global role of energy, and the challenges posed by emerging technologies in the current geopolitical context. The exchange of ideas was practical and insightful, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in managing emerging risks in the digital environment.
A key point of the meeting was the EnergIntell conference (http://energintell.fabiz.ase.ro/), an event organized in partnership with Romania’s academic and professional sectors. Professor Warren expressed his strong interest in the proposed theme and confirmed his online participation in this year’s edition of the conference.
The dialogue also opened up concrete prospects for future academic and institutional partnerships aimed at encouraging the exchange of best practices and the development of joint projects.
